MMSD Director to Lead National Group

Kevin Shafer, executive director of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, will take on the additional role of leader of a national association of wastewater utilities for the next year.

Shafer was named president of the National Association of Clean Water Agencies on Wednesday, the opening day of the association's summer conference in Milwaukee. The association represents more than 300 sewage treatment agencies in the U.S.
