Hotel & Registration Information

 

Hotel Accommodations & Rates

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) has secured a special group rate of $189 per night (single/double), plus applicable taxes, at the Intercontinental Milwaukee for conference attendees. Reservations must be made by Tuesday, June 23, 2009 to receive the special rate. After this date, NACWA must release the unreserved rooms, and reservations will be accepted on a space available basis only with no guarantee that the conference rates will apply.
 

To ensure a hotel room, contact the Intercontinental Milwaukee at 414.276.8686, and be sure to identify yourself as a NACWA Summer Conference attendee. Note: Check-in time is 3:00 pm; check-out time is 12:00 pm; baggage storage is available for your convenience. Any requests for late check-out should be directed to the hotel. Conference Registration Fees & Information

To register for the Summer Conference, please register online or mail or fax a registration form icon-pdf along with your registration fee(s) payable to NACWA.
 

A discounted registration rate is available to public utilities who bring multiple employees to the 2009 Summer Conference. Registrants should submit their registration forms together to receive the discount. Simply fill out a Registration Form icon-pdf for each person attending and either fax or mail the forms to NACWA.
 

Advance registrations must be received by Monday, June 29, 2009. Advance registrants will receive written confirmation via e-mail. Faxed and online registrations will be accepted after the deadline but will not be confirmed in writing.
 
Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be made if NACWA receives the cancellation by June 29. Thereafter, a $300 cancellation fee will be applied.
 

 

Ground Transportation

The Intercontinental Milwaukee is approximately 20 minutes from General Mitchell International Airport (MKE). The hotel does not offer a complimentary shuttle; however there are several transportation alternatives:
 

Taxi:
The fare from the General Mitchell International Airport to the Intercontinental Milwaukee is approximately $26, about 20 minutes.
 

Car Rental:
NACWA has selected Avis Rent-A-Car as the official car rental company for the 2009 Summer Conference & 39th Annual Meeting. Discounts are available by calling Avis directly at 800.331.1600. Our Avis Worldwide Discount Number is D003081.
 

Shuttles:
Go Airport Connection services the General Mitchell International Airport. A single fare in a shared van to the Intercontinental Milwaukee is $12.35. More information can be found at http://www.goairportconnection.com/ or by calling 800.236.5452.
 

Hotel Parking:
The Intercontinental Milwaukee has covered valet-parking for $28 per day and self-parking for $23 per day.
