Building on the success of NACWA’s March Money Matters Summit & Fly-In, the Association’s 2011 National Environmental Policy Forum will provide an unparalleled opportunity for public clean water agencies, and the NACWA affiliates that serve them, to dig deep into the latest federal legislative, regulatory, and legal developments. Compelling speakers and consecutive, rather than concurrent, committee meetings will ensure that each attendee comes away with the maximum amount of information on issues sure to impact their utility back home.
With over 100 new members in the 112th Congress – and a decidedly different ‘take’ on priority clean water issues – there could not be a better time to make your presence known, and your voice heard, in Washington. With nutrient control, watershed management, wet weather initiatives and – perhaps the most impactful issue poised to be addresses this Congress – infrastructure investment on the table, your federal representatives need to hear from you early and often.
Special Events Will Honor Colleagues, Acknowledge Achievement
Join colleagues from throughout the water sector at the inaugural Clean Water America Alliance U.S. Water Prize Ceremony & Reception on the evening on Monday, May 9. The Water Prize, created by the Clean Water America Alliance, recognizes achievement and inspired action for water sustainability. This special evening, taking place at the Hotel Monaco is complimentary to all NACWA Policy Forum registrants.
In addition to the Monday evening event, NACWA will be hosting two special events. Tuesday, May 10 the Association will honor its 2011 individual National Environmental Achievement Awardwinners at a luncheon at the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center on Capitol Hill. With its dramatic views of the capitol dome through the skylights and fascinating statuary – this will truly be a special event for attendees, honorees and distinguished guests alike. In addition, as has been tradition at past Policy Forums, Tuesday’s events will conclude with a reception at 101 Constitution Avenue.
