Tutankhamun The Golden King and The Great Pharaohs- Atlanta Civic Center (395 Piedmont Ave., NE) The traveling exhibition visits Atlanta for several months, features 50 objects from the tomb of Tutankhamun. www.kingtut.org

High Museum of Art (1280 Peachtree Street) The High Museum of Art in Atlanta has grown to become the leading art museum in the Southeastern United States with its renowned collection of classic and contemporary art and renowned architecture by Richard Meier and Renzo Piano. www.high.org
Atlanta Botanical Garden (1345 Piedmont Ave., NE) One of the most beautiful spots in Atlanta, is 30 acres of outdoor display gardens, has a permanent display of tropical orchids, and is home to rare and endangered tropical & desert plants. www.atlantabotanicalgarden.org
