The EXTENDED hotel reservation deadline is THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2008, so hurry and reserve your room today!  November is a busy time in Washington, DC, and this year promises to be even more so with the Nation’s capital still buzzing after the upcoming elections.  Also note that you should register for the Seminar by Friday, October 31st if you would like to be listed in the Participants List which will be available to attendees on-site.


CLE Credits Offered – Fulfill Your Requirements Now

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits will be available to all Seminar attendees.  The conference has already received accreditation from California, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, New York, and Wisconsin, with credits from other states expected soon.


Speakers to Feature Hot Topics

The Seminar, scheduled for November 12-14 at the Fairmont Hotel has an exciting program planned with top EPA officials and many of the best clean water legal practitioners from around the country focusing on the hottest issues facing the water sector.  Amy Walter, noted political commentator and editor of The Hotline, will lead off the Seminar with an in-depth analysis of the presidential and congressional elections, including how the election outcome may affect environmental and municipal issues.  Top officials from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will also speak at the Seminar, including Benjamin Grumbles, Assistant Administrator for Water, addressing EPA efforts on climate change, and Granta Nakayama, Assistant Administrator for Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, discussing recent enforcement trends involving clean water utilities.  Other topics to be addressed at the Seminar include biosolids management, stormwater developments, nutrient regulations, and an overview of the most important Clean Water Act cases from the past year.
