The Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) is conducting a project through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Water to showcase the range of innovative projects — projects that reflect many of the same objectives that are part of NACWA’s Utility of the Future campaign — that have been financed with Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) dollars. This project aims to expand knowledge of the CWSRF to promote its use as a resource to fund green infrastructure, nutrient recovery, energy production, climate resilience, nonpoint source control and other UOTF-related projects. ECOS reached out to NACWA to help make this opportunity available to its public agency members and NACWA believes this is a unique opportunity for members to tell their UOTF-related stories.

The final product will be a published report highlighting 15 case studies and a national webinar to demonstrate the flexibility of the CWSRF to fund a wide array of non-traditional projects and to help states better understand the potential uses of the CWSRF to meet a diverse range of needs.
