RCPP PRE-PROPOSAL DEADLINE APPROACHING; GRANTS.GOV WEBSITE DOWN JULY 12-14

Reference: AA 14-16

The deadline for submitting pre-proposal applications for the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) is on Monday, July 14th. Please be advised the federal grants website will be down from July 12-14th. If you plan to submit an RCPP application on those days, please use email or postal mail instead. Below is more information related to the RCPP application process which was recently posted on the RCPP website.

    1. The Grants.gov website will be down for maintenance the weekend of July 12- 14, 2014. This means that applicants will NOT be able to submit their proposals via Grants.gov after July 11th. For applications submitted between July 12 -14th, please submit through email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or postal mail. For complete details, visit the RCPP homepage at: http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/detail/national/programs/farmbill/rcpp/?cid=stelprdb1242732

    2. NRCS has received many questions regarding use of EPA 319 funds as the significant contribution. A complete answer can be found on the RCPP website under “Significant Contribution”:

    3. NRCS unintentionally provided contradictory answers when asked whether a landowner’s contribution can be considered as part of the significant contribution. The answer is as follows (also on the RCPP FAQ page):

Q: In calculating the partner contribution to the cost of the project, can partners include the producer’s cost share as part of the significant contribution?
A: For the ACEP-ALE easement program, the source of the contribution from the entity can include the amount provided by the entity and a landowner. The landowner donation to an easement can count as project proposal significant contribution. For all other non-easement programs, the required landowner cost share does not count a towards the project proposal significant contribution.

Thank you for your interest in the RCPP and please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you have any questions about the RCPP and application process.
