Subject: NACWA ENGAGE™ PROMOTES COLLABORATION, COMMUNICATION/SUPPORTS ADVOCACY AGENDA
Reference: MU 12-11

In support of our advocacy efforts, NACWA is proud to introduce Engage, an internal social network serving as a forum for utilities. Launched in July, Engage™ adds to the Association’s suite of member benefits – providing a value-added experience for members – and enhancing our effectiveness in the advocacy arena.

Engage™ provides a relevant, collaborative experience for utilities and ensures that Association staff has their collective ‘finger on the pulse’ of member positions and priorities. Forums for discussion and engagement focus not only on critical advocacy issues (e.g. nutrients, regulatory prioritization, wet weather issues, etc…) but also include the opportunity for Member Agencies to engage with other utilities on their priority issues.

Current Engage™ discussion groups focus on the following issues:

Additional groups will be added to over the next several months, and by the end of the calendar year NACWA’s active committees will begin to conduct business on Engage™.

We invite you to join us on Engage™. To access the network, go to www.nacwaengage.org. Users can access the Getting Started guide for quick tips. Please use the e-mail address and password you use to access Member Pipeline of the NACWA website.
