2012 Winter Conference Watershed Moment in the Making... Conquering the Challenges of the New Regulatory Frontier
February 12 - 15, 2012, Omni Los Angeles Hotel, Los Angeles, California
Board Committees, Board Meeting & Welcoming Reception: February 12 Standing Committees & General Sessions: February 13 – 15
Join your clean water colleagues in February in Los Angeles for a conference focusing on the latest developments in wet weather and collection system management.
Agenda to Examine Utility Response to Growing List of Regulatory Mandates
Clean water agencies are charged with an ever-increasing list of Clean Water Act (CWA) mandates, including new rules for stormwater management that are on the horizon, a push for more controls on nutrients, and new standards for sewage sludge incineration, to name just a few. At the same time, utilities are already struggling to meet existing requirements associated with combined sewer overflows (CSOs), sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs), and aging infrastucutre management. NACWA’s 2012 Winter Conference will provide an excellent opportunity to analyze the likely impact of new rules and requirements and how utilities are already responding with creative and innovative approaches that are redefining the way the clean water community will meet the CWA's mandates in the future. The conference will also examine recent efforts by EPA to provide utilities with more flexibility to balance these mandates and prioritize their investments through more integrated CWA planning.
This is one conference you should not miss!
