and AMWA members around the country as a means of demonstrat-
ing how recent bond issuances would have been impacted by a cap or
elimination of the tax-exemption.
As budget negotiations proceed, and the Obama Administration’s
proposal is considered, the white paper will serve as a key tool in
NACWA’s advocacy efforts against changes to tax-exemption. The
Association also continues to work with a coalition of national
associations across infrastructure sectors, convened by the U.S.
Conference of Mayors, to ensure that Congress does not scale back, or
eliminate, the tax-exempt status of municipal bonds.

Website Features New Integrated
Planning Webpage
NACWA’s website now features an
Integrated Planning (IP) re-
source page
. The Association created the page in response to
Member Agency feedback noting a lack of readily available IP in-
formation and guidance. The webpage houses valuable resources,
model integrated plans, and guidance documents. It also allows
utilities exploring IP options to see how other communities have
engaged local regulators and EPA in their processes. Timely infor-
mation on NACWA’s continued IP advocacy is also included and
will be built upon in the coming months.
NACWA’s 2014 Winter Conference will feature
