Hotel Accommodations & Rates

The room block for some of the days early in the week of July 19 at the Fairmont San Francisco has become filled. Because this situation may change over time, please try initially to secure the reservations you desire at the Fairmont San Francisco at 415.772.5000. If they are unable to accommodate you for any or all of your planned stay, NACWA has secured a small block of rooms at the Ritz Carlton San Francisco, a short walk away. The Ritz is offering the same conference rate as The Fairmont ($269 per night, single/double) plus applicable taxes (phone: 415.296.7465; address: 600 Stockton Street at California Street; www.ritzcarlton.com). The Ritz Carlton block of rooms will be available sometime late today. Please indicate that you are a NACWA conference attendee when you make your reservations. You may wish to begin your stay at the Ritz and then move to the Fairmont. Conference Registration Fees & Information

To register for the 2010 Summer Conference and 40th Annual Meeting, please complete the online registration. You may also register via mail or fax by downloading the registration form and mailing your registration fee(s) to NACWA.

A discounted registration rate is available to public utilities that bring multiple employees to the 2010 Summer Conference. Registrants should submit their registration forms together to receive the discount. Simply fill out a Registration Form for each person attending and either fax or mail the forms to NACWA.

Advance registrations must be received by Friday, July 2, 2010. Advance registrants will receive written confirmation via e-mail. Faxed and online registrations will be accepted after the deadline but will not be confirmed in writing.

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be made if NACWA receives the cancellation by July 2nd, 2010. Thereafter, a $300 cancellation fee will be applied.

Ground Transportation

The Fairmont San Francisco is approximately 30 minutes from the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and 45 minutes from the Oakland International Airport (OAK). The hotel does not offer a complimentary shuttle; however there are several transportation alternatives:

Taxi:
The fare from the San Francisco International Airport to the Fairmont San Francisco is approximately $45.If you fly into the Oakland International Airport, the fare will be approximately $65.

Super Shuttle:
Representatives are available at both the San Francisco International Airport as well as the Oakland International Airport; or by phone at 602.244.9000. Note that the guests must make their own reservations with Super Shuttle to arrange for return transport to the airport. The fare from the San Francisco International Airport to the Fairmont San Francisco is approximately $17 each way per passenger. If departing from Oakland, the approximate fare is $27.

BART:
The Bay Area Rapid Transit is San Francisco’s subway and provides transit lines underground and above ground for public transportation. The nearest station to the Fairmont San Francisco is located 7 blocks away, beside the Union Square and is called Powell Street. The fare from the San Francisco International Airport is $8.10, and the fare from the Oakland International Airport is $3.80. For more information, please call 412-788-BART.

Hotel Parking:
The Fairmont San Francisco has on-site valet parking available at $51.30 per day with in and out privileges. The self-parking hotel garage if off Powell Street and has the same rate/privileges as the valet. The day guest parking charge is $4 for every 20 minutes with a maximum of $50 per day.
