Join your clean water colleagues May 19 - 21 for the National Association of Clean Water Agencies’ (NACWA) 2010 National Pretreatment & Pollution Prevention Workshop.

The Pretreatment & Pollution Prevention Workshop is the only conference designed especially for pretreatment professionals. Workshop presentation topics include legal issues and case studies from discharges of fats, oils, and greases (FOG); the increasing responsibilities of pretreatment programs to handle stormwater and the impacts of new regulations; and how NACWA and utilities are dealing with the problem of “flushable” wipes that cause problems in sewer systems and treatment plants. The latest information on mercury control measures – and their potential nationwide impact – will also be provided.

Staff from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will update participants on the current status of effluent guidelines development, pretreatment performance measures, and other programs — and regional EPA staff will be on hand to participate in the popular Regional Roundtable discussion session. As a new feature at the Workshop, an additional roundtable sessions on various pretreatment-related topics will be held to allow participants to network with their colleagues from utilities nationwide.
