Join us May 17 – 20 in Long Beach for the National Pretreatment and Pollution Prevention Workshop & Training, the only national conference designed especially for pretreatment professionals.  This year's Workshop will provide unique education and networking opportunities, as well as updates on hot topics and in-depth discussions of issues facing utility pretreatment programs.

Updates and Topics on Agenda

The Workshop program will focus on topics that promise to be important for pretreatment programs in the future, as well as issues that are currently affecting these programs.  U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) staff will provide the latest updates on National Pretreatment Program initiatives and Effluent Limitation Guidelines Development.  Panel presentations will address the best management practices for industrial users, surviving a pretreatment compliance audit, pretreatment liability and enforcement, updates on flushable wipes and pharmaceuticals, and more!

Pre-Workshop Pretreatment Training Courses Available

After two years of successful Pretreatment Training Courses, we are once again featuring pre-Workshop training courses.  The following all-day courses will be offered this year:

  • Pretreatment 101 – Introduction to the Pretreatment Program for Wastewater Utilities
  • Advanced Local Limits
  • Wipes – Why They're in Your System (and How to Get Them Out!)

Agendas for each training session will be available soon.  Please note that separate registration is required for the training courses.

Workshop Offers Multiple Networking Opportunities

As in past Workshops, participants will have the opportunity to meet with the pretreatment coordinators from their regions during the EPA Regional Roundtable session.  In addition, the ever-popular Pretreatment Issues Roundtable discussions will be on the Agenda.  These two sessions are scheduled to allow participants to meet in small groups and talk about issues their utilities are currently facing or issues that they expect to come to the forefront in the future.
