Rajendra Bhattarai is the Division Manager of the Austin Water Utility where he has worked since 1984.  From 1980 to 1984 he worked for the Texas Department of Water Resources.  Mr. Bhattarai has a BS in Civil Engineering from IIT, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, and an MS in Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is a registered professional engineer and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, and served as the 2001 President of Texas Association of Metropolitan Sewerage Agencies.
