Hotel Accommodations & Rates

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) has secured a special group rate of $129 per night (single/double), plus applicable taxes, at La Fonda on the Plaza.  Reservations must be made by Monday, January 13, 2014 to receive the special rate.  After this date, NACWA must release the unreserved rooms, and reservations will be accepted on a space available basis only with no guarantee that the Conference rates will apply.

To ensure a hotel room, contact La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel, in Santa Fe, NM at 505.982.5511.  Be sure to identify yourself as part of the “NACWA” group.  You may also make your reservation online at La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel Reservation website .  Note: Check-in time is 3:00 pm; check-out time is 12:00 pm; baggage storage is available for your convenience.  Any requests for late check-out should be directed to the Hotel.

Registration Fees & Information

You may register for the 2014 Winter Conference in three simple ways:

• Online: complete the online registration (closed) to register at your convenience.
• Mail: download and complete the registration form   and send your registration with payment to NACWA.
• Fax: download and complete the registration form   and fax it to 888.267.9505. 

Advance registrations must be received by Wednesday, January 22, 2014.  Advance registrants will receive confirmation via e-mail.  Faxed and online registrations will be accepted after the deadline but attendees will not be listed in the Participants List.  If you have not received a confirmation within 10 business days after registering, please contact NACWA at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Full conference registration fees includes access to all sessions Sunday through Wednesday and evening receptions on Sunday through Tuesday.  Registered attendees will also receive access to all available session handouts, speaker biographies, as well as the Participant List.  Meals included are:  breakfast during the Committee meeting on Monday; as well as food and beverage at the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening events; and, morning and afternoon beverage service Monday through Wednesday morning.

Cancellation/Substitution Policy

All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing.  A full refund will be made if NACWA receives the cancellation by January 22, 2014.  Thereafter, a $300 cancellation fee will be applied.  Submit all requests via e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Substitution of registrations is permitted prior to the conference and onsite.  Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant.

Attire

We want you to be comfortable so you can enjoy your experience! Therefore, business casual dress is strongly encouraged. We suggest bringing a light sweater or jacket with you during the day as meeting rooms are air conditioned.

Consent to Use Image

Registration and/or participation in any NACWA sponsored meetings constitutes an agreement by the registrant/participant to the National Association of Clean Water Agencies’ use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant’s/participant’s likeness.  Attendees have agreed to allow their names, likenesses and images either in audio, photographic or video format, as well as social media messages in the public domain (e.g., tweets using hashtag) to be used by NACWA.  NACWA is not responsible for the social media posts of any attendee and disclaims any liability for such posts.

Continuing Education Credits

Bringing A Family Member?

Do you have spouse, family member joining you in Santa Fe?  Be sure to register them so that they can join you at NACWA receptions and in the spouse lounge.  Please Note: Complimentary guest registration is intended solely for spouses/domestic partners or members of a registrant’s immediate family and cannot be used to register professional colleagues.

Ground Transportation

La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel is approximately 12 miles from the Santa Fe Municipal Airport  (SAF) and 68 miles from the Albuquerque International Sunport Airport  (ABQ).   The hotel does not offer a complimentary shuttle; however, there are several transportation alternatives:

Capital City Cab:
The fare SAF to La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel is approximately $40 and will take 20 minutes. You may reach them at 505.471.4630.

Shuttle Service:
Representatives of the Roadrunner Shuttle are available in person at the SAF or by phone at 505.424.3367.  The fare from this airport to La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel is $15 each way per passenger or $27 roundtrip.  If arriving at the ABQ, an hourly shuttle is available via Sandia Shuttle Express.  This 1 hour and 15 minute trip is $28 one way per passenger or $48 roundtrip.  Please note that there is only one shuttle per hour,     and it is recommended that you call in advance to make a reservation at 888.775.5696.

Car Rental:
NACWA selected Avis Rent-A-Car  as the official car rental company for this meeting.  Discounts are available by calling Avis directly at 800.331.1600. Our Avis Worldwide Discount Number is D003081.

Hotel Parking:
The hotel offers discounted self-parking to NACWA attendees at $10 per night which includes ‘in and out’ privileges.  Valet parking is not available at the hotel.
