Dave Snyder is the Head of the Industrial Waste Section for the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County in Whittier. He manages the regulatory program for the pretreatment of industrial wastewater discharged to the sewer. His program is one of the largest in the nation with diverse industries including petroleum refineries, metal finishing facilities, food processing plants, and carpet mills.

Mr. Snyder oversees over 2,500 permits, 950 Significant Industrial Users, and a staff of 70 engineers, inspectors and technicians. The Sanitation Districts generates more than $50 million in revenues from industrial wastewater discharges and has a program budget of $10 million. Previous to his present position, he served in various management, supervisory, and professional capacities in operations, design, facility compliance, and water reuse.

Mr. Snyder earned his BS and MS degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois.
