Ted Henifin, registered professional engineer, has served as General Manager of the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) since 2006.  Before coming to HRSD, he served as Director of Public Works for the City of Hampton, Virginia. Mr. Henifin earned his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Henifin is Vice President of the Virginia Association of Municipal Wastewater Agencies and is active in the Hampton Roads community serving on the boards of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Downtown Hampton Child Development Center, the Hampton Neighborhood Development Partnership, and the George Wythe Recreation Association.
