NACWA Thank You Note to Signatories

Print
The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) would like to thank your organization for signing on to the letter to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Administrator Lisa Jackson regarding numeric nutrient criteria. NACWA sent the attached letter this afternoon to Administrator Jackson and copied EPA Office of Water’s Acting Assistant Administrator Nancy Stoner. The letter, which was signed by 29 national, state, and regional organizations, affirms the municipal clean water community’s dedication to addressing nutrient-related impacts but highlights key concerns with U.S. EPA's current approach for developing water quality criteria for nitrogen and phosphorus.

Again, thank you and your organization for supporting this important effort. NACWA looks forward to working with you as we continue to press for a more rational approach to addressing nutrient-related water quality impacts.

Sincerely,
Ken Kirk
NACWA’s Executive Director
